Here's some stuff that we found interesting...
What’s wrong with these exterior window shutters? When closed there is a 3 inch space in between them. That is a design and engineering flaw from another contractor that we observed on a new multi-million dollar home the second we saw it. It’s all in the details.
This is a custom built small parts, hardware or jewelry box made from pine. Built in the early 1900's by Ray's Grandfather Percy Jackson back in Canada. If you look closely you will see that the draws are all different sizes. This must have taken forever back in the day. Our goal is to replicate the box in maybe cherry or walnut and call it the "Percy Box" in memory of Ray's Grandfather and Father.
This gorgeous late 1800's pattern makers lathe was collecting dust and rust in someone’s basement on Cape Cod until we rescued it. We cleaned, sandblasted, painted and restored all the parts so it works like new. This thing weighs about one ton we call it the BEAST at the shop. These are very rare!
